School board members, offices held and additional information can be found below. Current members of the board, who serve the ministry faithfully and pray for us daily include:
Pastor Dean Woodward
PASTOR DEAN WOODWARD - EX-OFFICIO MEMBER serves as Senior Pastor at Fairfield Christian Church.  Pastor Dean earned his Bachelor's degree in Bible from Columbia International University and his Master's of Theology in Pastoral  Ministries at Dallas Theological Seminary.  Before coming to FCC, he served at Grace Bible Church in Virginia Beach, VA as Senior Pastor for 17 years.
Dean was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA.  He and his wife, Lynn, have been married for 31 years.  They have three grown children and four grandchildren.  Beyond ministry, Pastor Woodward's interests include sports, music, movies and books.  He is an avid basketball player and easy to spot in a crowd, since he is 6'7".  Dean is "passionate about helping people experience God in worship and His Word in a way that is life-changing".
David Crum - Board Member
DAVID CRUM - EX-OFFICIO MEMBER serves as a Fairfield Christian Church (FCC) representative on the FCA School Board.  Mr. Crum was affirmed as an FCC Elder in 2016 and has previously served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for elementary students.  He and his wife currently help teach an adult Sunday School class.  David graduated from McGuffey High School in Claysville, PA, did his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University and graduated from veterinary school (DVM degree) at Kansas State University, Manhatten, KS, in 1994.  Mr. Crum is a horse veterinarian at Crum Equine Veterinary Service.  David and his wife Michele, have two children that currently attend FCA.  David's life verse is Philippians 4:13 - " I can do all this through him who gives me strength".
Superintendent Craig Carpenter CRAIG CARPENTER - EX-OFFICIO MEMBER currently serves as the superintendent of FCA and is the chairman of the Leadership Cabinet whose function is to help lead the various departments of the school. Mr. Carpenter previously served as Middle School and High School Principal (2006 -2013) and prior to his employment at FCA, he taught in Lancaster City Schools for six years. Upon graduating from college, he worked ten years as an Operations Manager at a Fortune 500 company in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Carpenter obtained his master’s degree in Curriculum Instruction from Ashland University and earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. He and his wife, Shelly, have three children who attend FCA. They reside in Lancaster and are members of Fairfield Christian Church.
Mark Gerken - Vice-chairman MARK GERKEN - CHAIRMAN was elected to the FCA School Board in 2016.  Mark is a graduate of Ohio State University and received a B.S. in Environmental Science.  Mark is currently employed at Nationwide Children's Hospital Research Institute.   He also taught at FCA from 2002-2004.  Mark coached biddy boys basketball for 4 years and was also an assistant coach for boys Jr. high basketball.  Mark and Kellee have 3 children who are a part of FCA;  Andrew graduated in 2016 and Ben & Carter are currently enrolled.  Mark serves as a sound tech and Deacon at Fairfield Christian Church, and Kellee is part of the worship team.  Some of Mark's hobbies include basketball, bike riding, cooking and music.  His life verse is Galatians 5:15. 
Angel McQueary -  Secretary
 ANGEL MCQUEARY - SECRETARY & TREASURER was elected to the FCA School Board in 2016.  She is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with bachelor degrees in Corrections and Juvenile Service and Psychology.  Angel also holds a Paralegal certificate from Capital University Law School.  She is currently employed at Stebelton Snider where she has worked for the past 20 years.  Angel and her husband Stacy have 2 children, Jordan and Sierra, who are a part of FCA. For the past 18 years, they have been active members of Fairfield Christian Church.  Some of Angel's hobbies include soccer, basketball and volleyball. Her life verse is Romans 8:28. 
Dr. Steve Meliotes DR. STEVE MELIOTES - MEMBER serves as a Community Member on the FCA School Board. Until recently, Steve has been a family practice physician at Diley Ridge Medical Center.   He will be retiring from active patient care and starting another career path which will be medically related but of a non-clinical nature.  Dr. Meliotes graduated from Mt. Vernon High School, received his B.A.  from Kenyon College, and received his M.D. form Wright State University school of medicine.  Steve and his wife are very active members of Calvary Baptist Church where Steve serves as a Sunday School teacher and focuses on teaching apologetics. Steve and his wife Leanna have 2 daughters, and their youngest Natalie, graduated from FCA in 2011.  Some of Steve's hobbies include Bible reading, sports, photography, traveling, cycling and history.  Steve's life verse which also happens to be FCA's school verse is: Romans 12:2 -  "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-—his good, pleasing and perfect will"
Brant Yount - Board Member BRANT YOUNT - VICE CHAIRMAN was elected to the FCA School Board in 2017. Brant is a graduate of Ohio State University where he received a B.A. in chemistry and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Brant is currently a stay at home dad.  He & his wife, Sue, are very active at Fairfield Christian Church.  Brant serves as a teacher, deacon, usher and also a mission's board member.  They have 3 children 2 of which have graduated from FCA.  Some of Brant's hobbies include sports, hunting, reading and farming.  He is also the coach for FCA's archery club.  His life verse is Proverbs 3:3-6 - "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,and he will make your paths straight."
Jennifer Rowe-Keller - Board Member
JENNIFER ROWE-KELLER - MEMBER was elected to the school board in 2018.  She graduated from OSU with a Bachelor's degree in Poultry Science, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a Master's Degree.  Jennifer is currently employed with Fairfield Community Health Center as a Nurse Practitioner.  Jennifer and her family have been involved with Fairfield Christian Church for many years.  
Jennifer is active in the AQHA competition in the English horse show division.  Some of her hobbies are gardening, flowers, house rehab along with helping on the family farm.  Jennifer and her husband Don have been married for 26 years and are raising their sons on the farm in Baltimore.  They both consider themselves incredibly blessed to have found FCA and FCC!   Jennifer's favorite scripture verse is John 3:16.
Nate Hawkins - Board Member NATE HAWKINS - MEMBER was elected to the FCA School Board in 2018.  Nate and his wife Stacie have 2 children currently attending FCA.  Nate serves as a deacon at Fairfield Christian Church along with being on the security team.  He is also a business owner of a machine shop.  Stacie works in the Cafe and also subs in various areas for FCC.
Lenny Potochnik - CFO LENNY POTOCHNIK - CFO - currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of FCA and FCC.  Lenny received a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from Marietta College with a major in Accounting and minor in Computer Science.  He has been a CPA for almost 30 years and has worked in various finance positions in both the public and private sectors.  He has been attending FCC for 11 years since his family moved to Logan in 2003.  They have two children who both graduated from FCA in 2010 and 2013 with his oldest working for FCA as well.  Personally, Lenny enjoys hunting, fishing and sports.
Carolyn Mulpas - Recorder CAROLYN MULPAS – RECORDER currently serves as the Assistant to the Superintendent of Fairfield Christian Academy. She has been the recorder for the School Board since August 2012. Mrs. Mulpas and her husband Ken are both members of Fairfield Christian Church with her husband serving as Executive Pastor. They have 4 children, 11 grandchildren; 3 of which attend FCA. Carolyn has served in this role previously and has broad experience working in business. She enjoys playing tennis, walking, traveling and playing with the grandkids.

2017-18 School Year

The FCA School Board will meet on the following dates (Tuesday) of this school year: August 29, September 26, October 24, November 21, January 23, February 27, April 24, May 22, and July 24.  Regularly scheduled meetings start at 5:30 PM.

Therefore, if you wish the board to consider developing a policy or changing policies, you may communicate directly with them via e-mail.
