ACT Testing

ACT Testing is recommended to be done at least one time before the end of the junior year.
 
All FCA juniors will take the ACT (no writing) for free on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 during periods 1-5 in the FCC Chapel.
 
Students may start taking the ACT as early as the 9th grade year. ACT testing is offered 7  times a year and students can take it as many times as they like. For test dates and registration visit the ACT Student  site.  Information is also available at this site for ACT Fee Waivers.
  

2020 - 2021  Two Day ACT Prep Course Schedule

The ACT courses are scheduled for two Sundays from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. within a few weeks prior to every national ACT Test. The national test dates and corresponding ACT Review courses are listed below.

  • September 12, 13 or 19, 2020 ACT: August 23 and 30 from 10:00 to 4:00 at Capital University

  • October 10, 17, 24, or 25, 2020 ACT: September 27 and October 4 from 10:00 to 4:00 at Capital University

  • December 12, 2020 ACT: November 22 and December 6 from 10:00 to 4:00 at Capital University

  • February 6, 2021: January 24 and 31 from 10:00 to 4:00 at Capital University

  • April 17, 2021: March 28 and April 11 from 10:00 to 4:00 at Capital University

  • June 12, 2021: May 23 and June 6 from from 10:00 to 4:00 at Capital University

  • July 17, 2021: June 27 and July 11 from 10:00 to 4:00 at Capital University

Although unlikely, The ACT Review reserves the right to cancel courses. In event of inclement weather, The ACT Review will only cancel class when there is a level 3 snow emergency in Franklin County.

Pricing and Location

The two day ACT course is $300. It is held at Capital University.

Capital University,  1 College and Main St., Bexley, Ohio 43209 in Ruff Learning Center, Room 202.

The two day ACT test prep course, which is held at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, reviews the five subject areas on the ACT test: ACT Math, ACT Reading, ACT Science Reasoning, ACT English, and ACT Writing. Considerable attention is given to Math and English skills. Students receive an ACT Test Prep book that reviews each of the subject areas on the ACT test and has over 1400 drills. They also receive ACT tips and strategies, memorization sheets, worksheets, and a practice ACT test to further help them in mastering the material. This review course not only prepares students for the ACT test, but also much of the content can be used to prepare for the SAT test.

Instructor Information

Unlike most test preparation providers, our courses and tutoring are taught by a college professor, Dr. Lynn Dailey, who excels on the ACT test. Lynn is currently a tenured professor at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She holds the prestigious George H. Moor Endowed Chair for excellence in teaching and scholarship. Her goal is to provide students with the skills needed to excel on the ACT test, in college, and beyond
